The obturator nerve (L2–4) is the nerve of the medial (adductor) compartment of the thigh.

• Forms in psoas → emerges from its MEDIAL border → runs along the lateral pelvic wall → through the obturator canal → divides into anterior + posterior branches around adductor brevis.
